Businesses face unprecedented labor shortages, thereby hurting their bottom line. Labor mobility could help employers address this challenge, but government processes – overly complicated and unpredictable – make it difficult for them to hire workers from abroad. This is especially true for employers in trade and service sectors. 

LaMP seeks to address worker shortages, primarily in those sectors, through well-regulated labor mobility. To redesign these pathways, we apply innovative solutions in finance and tech as well as build partnerships across the private sector as we believe the input from businesses is essential for shaping effective practice and policy. 

We support employers through partnerships not only with them, but also other private sector partners such as recruiters, and tech and finance firms, in a variety of industries to build fair, reliable and efficient labor mobility systems that benefit both employers and workers.
