Yonatan Estuardo Gómez Lobos is a professional chef with a distinguished career in fine dining, specializing in meats, artisanal sausages, seafood, and fish. Currently, he is a Public Relations Specialist at Labor Mobility Partnerships (LaMP) in Guatemala, where he fosters key connections for the “GuateCooks on the Move” program, which promotes international labor mobility, specifically in the culinary field. His passion for cooking and ability to efficiently manage kitchens and menus led him to manage teams in renowned restaurants such as “Del Griego” in Guatemala, where he coordinated operations and standardized recipes.
In addition to his practical experience, Yonatan has shared his knowledge as a professor at the Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala, training new talents in the culinary arts. He has also worked as a consultant in the opening and management of restaurants, providing his expertise in menu creation, equipment purchasing, and staff training.
His education includes an internship at the acclaimed Martin Berasategui restaurant in Spain, where he perfected his techniques in meat and seafood cooking, and in Poland, where he specialized in artisanal sausage making. His skills include molecular cuisine, gluten-free cooking, sous-vide techniques, Guatemalan and international cuisine, as well as kitchen process design and staff training.
