Mariano Hernández is the consultant in Guatemala for LaMP’s Guatecruceros Project, which is piloting an innovative labor mobility solution with the objective of placing Guatemalan people to work on cruise lines. 

Previously, Mariano has been a consultant for USAID in labor mobility projects to improve processes in the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Guatemala and has carried out consultancies and training courses on ISO 9001 quality management systems and occupational health and safety in public institutions and private businesses. He has also held management positions in the Ministry of Economy and the National Institute of Electrification -INDE- of Guatemala. 

He has a degree in economic sciences and a master’s degree in quality management from the University of Valencia, Spain. Additionally, he has carried out studies in public administration and international cooperation in Chile and Uruguay.
