Jay is a seasoned business executive having served in several senior management and executive functions in the fields of Shipping, Training, Global Labor Mobility, Recruitment and Manpower Solutions, Telecommunications, Satellite Communications, Engineering Research, Food Service, Food Manufacturing, Investment Finance in operations, business development and strategic planning in the Philippines and Hong Kong.
He currently serves as Deputy Group CEO of MHI Investment Holdings, Inc., with diversified business interests in Aviation Support Services, Warehousing, Logistics, Facility Management, Manpower Solutions and Deployment and Training, and as President of ISS Facility Services, Phils. Inc, the group’s integrated facility management services business.
Previously, he served as President of Magsaysay Global Services, Inc., the land based human resource services arm of the Magsaysay Group of Companies, that sends out over 40,000 people annually from the Philippines, Indonesia, China and Eastern Europe filling up different jobs in over 700 companies in the maritime, cruise, hospitality, healthcare, engineering information, technology and business process outsourcing industries worldwide.
Jay holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from De La Salle University and took a post-graduate degree in Finance from the University of the Philippines. He also holds a Diploma in Christian Ministry from the Destiny School of Ministry of Church of God – Makati then affiliated with Church of God World Missions and completed the Summer Business Program at the Oxford Center for Christian Apologetics in Oxford, UK.
In the past 16 years, he served the Magsaysay Group as a Board Director for PT Magsaysay Global Services and PT Meranti Magsaysay (Indonesia), Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc. (Philippines), and Magsaysay Global Services, Inc. (Philippines), Canada Care International Exchange, Inc. (Canada). He was part of the establishment of the Magsaysay Center of Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MCHCA), Magsaysay’s hospitality and culinary training arm in 2006 and served as its first Institute Director until 2008. He also previously served as the Vice President for Strategic Planning and Business Development, identifying and pursuing new opportunities in line with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation’s international diversification strategy and Head of Global Operations, where he was responsible for the business operations of international offices in Indonesia, China and Croatia.
He has served in various industry associations as a Trustee for the Japan Employment Providers of The Philippines and Consultants Association(JEPPCA) since 2019 and as representative for the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI) since 2017. Jay continues to serve as a Trustee and President of Beginnings Church Makati, Inc.
Jay is an avid reader with interests in philosophy and theology, a thinker and speaker in the fields of leadership, organizational culture, values and ethics, labor mobility and professional development, a struggling but passionate golfer.
He lives in the Philippines with his wife and three daughters.
