Benedikt Coekoll is a Senior Advisor in LaMP’s Europe team based in Berlin. Benedikt has ample experience implementing large scale ODA programs on behalf of the European Commission, national and international development banks and several German ministries. His previous work combined strategy development, technical assistance and operational project management and focused on several fields including vocational training, employment promotion, migration management, labor mobility and integration.

Before joining LaMP, Benedikt worked for the German Development Agency (GIZ), for one of Europe’s major development consultancies and as an independent advisor, where he specialized in enhancing educational and job opportunities for refugees, IDPs and returnees in the MENA region, Central Asia and South East Europe. At GIZ, Benedikt managed a major mobility scheme for apprentices and mid-skilled workers between North Africa and Germany, jointly implemented with ILO and IOM.

Benedikt speaks German, English, Spanish and French. He is a qualified journalist and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth (Germany), with abroad terms at Edinburgh University (UK) and Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao (Spain). Benedikt earned his master’s degree in the field of behavioral economics and decision science from Maastricht University (Netherlands).
