Dawit M. Dame is currently working as Senior Manager of Innovation and Special Projects at the Ethiopian Jobs Creation Agency. Mr. Dame has a B.A. degree in Economics and Philosophy from Macalester College and M.A. in Public Policy from Columbia University in the U.S. Mr. Dame has spent a combined 8 years as an analyst and independent advisor in the Ethiopian public sector notably in agricultural and tax reforms.
Mr. Dame is currently leading a technical task force setup by the Prime Minister Office to lead the newly launched Ethiopian Overseas Employment Program. So far, he has led an international mission to Europe and negotiated with the UAE government to establish a cross-border labor mobility program. In addition, through the technical task force, managed the revision of the Ethiopian Overseas Employment Proclamation (No. 923/2016) to meet the new strategic direction of the country.
