Benedikt Coekoll is a Manager on LaMP’s Europe team based in Berlin. At LaMP, he develops practical solutions for more and better labor mobility into the EU and Germany in particular. As part of this work, he is responsible for a project creating more efficient, more inclusive and scalable ways to finance language learning between India and Germany.
Before joining LaMP, Benedikt collected ample experience implementing large scale ODA programs on behalf of the European Commission, national and international development banks and several German ministries. He worked for the German Development Agency (GIZ), for one of Europe’s leading development consultancies and as an independent advisor, where he specialized in promoting training and job opportunities for refugees, IDPs and returnees in 10+ countries in the MENA region, Central Asia and Southeast Europe. At GIZ, Benedikt managed a major mobility scheme for apprentices and mid-skilled workers between North Africa and Germany, jointly implemented with ILO and IOM.
Benedikt speaks German, English, Spanish and French. He is a qualified journalist and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and a masters in Decision Science from Maastricht University (Netherlands). Benedikt is based in Berlin, Germany.
