LaMP is the only organization dedicated solely to expanding rights-respecting labor mobility for low-skilled workers as a global public good. This means that we work  to  multiply  opportunities  for  these workers in addition to improving their outcomes, and that we work to address market failures and regulatory barriers to create sustainable mobility systems worldwide.

We are also distinctive in our “product first” approach to creating globally scalable models. We work within existing policies and regulations to improve the design and functioning of labor mobility and recruitment systems, feeding the findings of this work back into better policies. By designing models to work in practice from the outset, we are required to take a multi-stakeholder approach,  developing solutions that address the interests of all actors. This will result in locally relevant models that can be adapted and scaled globally.
